About.

Emily has been performing professionally in the Salt Lake City area since 2016. She studied Classical Guitar Performance at the University of Utah, but between her own private lessons and many experiences in orchestra pits for musical productions, she has also studied jazz, blues, rock, bluegrass, funk, pop, and country.

Since 2010, Emily has played guitar in over 20 musical productions with local community theaters and professional theater companies in the Salt Lake City area.

In 2022, she had the privilege of playing her first show at Pioneer Theater Company, Salt Lake City's regional theater, as they hosted the debut of Shucked - a brand new musical comedy. Music and lyrics written by Grammy Award winning songwriting team Brandy Clark and Shane McAnally. Music Directed by Grammy Award winning and Tony Award nominated Jason Howland. Directed by Tony Award winner Jack O'Brien.

From 2018-2020, Emily was the lead guitarist for The MAD (Make A Difference) Band. The MAD Band played benefit shows at local churches and farmers markets in order to raise money for the Volunteers of America's Youth Resource Center (YRC) in downtown SLC - the only homeless youth center of its kind in the state of Utah. During their time together, they helped raise over $30,000. 100% of the proceeds from the concerts went toward the YRC to assist them in their efforts to care for struggling youth and young adults.

Emily continues to play in musicals whenever she gets the chance, and between musical productions she plays live instrumental pop songs in the new guitar duo, JEM.

In addition to playing guitar, Emily also plays drum set, percussion, ukulele, mandolin, banjo, dobro, lap steel, and bass guitar.
